The Group provides financial services to the market through certain principal wholly-owned subsidiaries including Ever-Long Securities Company Limited, Ever-Long Capital Limited, and Ever-Long Finance Limited.
Brokerage Services
Ever-Long Securities Company Limited (“Ever-Long Securities”) was established in Hong Kong in 1994 as a participant at the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited. The Company was registered as a dealer in 1995. Ever-Long Securities offers securities and securities related services to both Hong Kong and Mainland Chinese markets. The clientele of Ever-Long Securities is comprised of Hong Kong listed companies, institutional investors, professionals and individual investors.
Ever-Long Securities has a proven track record in capital market transactions, as shown by the billions of Hong Kong dollars of new funds that it has raised for listed companies, helping customers with their business expansion and increasing their working capital. Currently, the working capital of Ever-Long Securities amounts to HK$100 million. To capitalise on the positive market momentum, the Group has planned to enhance its marketing targeted at new and existing customers to improve its service capability, with a view to promoting the development of its brokerage and margin financing businesses.
In respect of its operation, the Group has established effective internal controls. In particular, the Group has fully complied with the requirements of the Securities and Futures Ordinance in its brokerage business. As a result, the Group has maintained a record of "zero" complaints from its customers over the years.
Corporate Finance
Due to improved market sentiment, initial public offering (IPO) and share placement activities in the capital market have regained momentum. To capitalize on such recovery, the Group has been actively involved in IPO financing and share placements. The Group boasts an established business network and extensive experience in its corporate finance business sector. The Group believes that its corporate finance services will contribute a good profit to the Group and will remain a major source of income for the Group.
Money Lending Services
Ever-Long Finance Limited (“Ever-Long Finance”) was established in Hong Kong in 1993 (Money Lender License No. 576/2010). With the rapid development of the Hong Kong property market, Ever-Long Finance mainly provides customers a broad spectrum of property loans. Its professional team provides customers expert opinions and offer customers tailor made loan schemes. Whether in relation to short-term working capital, property investment or business expansion, property loans provided by Ever-Long Finance meet the requirements of customers. The repayment plans are customized with a short penalty period and attractive interest rate, helping customers meet their budgets.
In relation to the money lending business, the Directors of the Group have adopted a prudent strategy to minimize risks resulting from uncertainties in the market. With a strict credit control policy in place and backed by proper collaterals, the Board believes that the doubtful debts provision for the money lending business will be maintained at a low level.
